RICE

Rice is a type of grain . it is eaten as staple food in many parts of Asia. It is grown in warm parts of the world, mainly Asia , Africa, Northern Italy, and the west coast of North America.rice used to be the main diet in many countries. It is not usually eaten cooked or boiled.in some aeras, such as Spain, rice is first fried in olive oil or butter, then cooked with water or soup. In other areas, such as india, rice is eaten with sauce or curry. rice can also be used to make alcohol, such as japanese sake.



                   
                     








          1)  Basmati Rice 
                                                     
                

                               Basmati rice has always been reigning over indian menus right from ancient        times. A simple grain yet in every royal menu throughout india and throughout cultures.          2)  Long Grain Brown Rice                                                                        


               
                                   Long grain rice has a long, slender kernel, four to five times longer than its    width. cooked grains are separate, light, and fluffy.
                                 


        3) Medium Grain brown Rice                                                                                          

             
                                  Medium grain rice has a shorter, wider kernel ( two to three times longer than its width) than long grain rice. cooked grains are more moist and tender, and have a greater tendency to cling together than long grain.

                                         Short grain rice has a short, plump, almost round kernel. cooked grains are   soft and cling togeth


              5) Sweet Brown Rice


                
                     
                                        Sweet rice is short and plump with a chalky white, opaque kernel. when        cooked, sweet rice loses its shape and is very sticky.

                                              India is well known for its fragrant basmati rice another long-grain rice   with a distinct "popcorn."
                                     


                7) Himalayan Red Rice


                 

                                            Also imported from india, this long-grain rice has a reddish bran layer an  a nutty, complex flavor that adds visual and taste delight to any dish.        
                         

               
                   8) Colusari Red Rice
                   

                

                                         
                                       Grown in the sacramento valley of the U.S., colusari red originated in a seed  bank in maryland. when cooked, it adds an upscals burgundy color to the plate.    




                    9) Chinese Black Rice

                   
                   

                                               Chines Black rice is a medium-grain rice with white kernels inside black brain. cooked, it takes on deep purplish color.
